Hildegard is the collaborative project of Montreal-based artists, Ouri and Helena Deland, who are each known for their solo work. Ouri is an electronic producer and multi-instrumentalist, while Helena Deland is a singer-songwriter. Recorded over 8 days in a studio in 2018, their debut self-titled album is out now via section1.
Jess chats to Ouri and Helena about the beginnings of Hildegard, finding their sound, and their fascination with Hildegard von Bingen.
