Hello, I'm jimmy. Im looking for 2 people to move into my onehunga flat in april. The property is pet friendly but I'm not too keen on big dogs. plan to hopefully get chickens and a kitten down the line as well. I'm a vegetarian but I'm not too fussy about meat being cooked in the kitchen providing certain dishes aren't used. my current flat mates are moving out during April. this is around the time the lease renews and might turn into a periodic lease. this house has the biggest yard I've ever seen in suburban Auckland. we have tones of fruit and nut trees including, lime, lemon, mandarin, tangerine, orange, grapes, persimmon, wall nut, 2 macadamia nut, 2 feijoa, avocado, 2 pear, nectarine, apple tree as well as one or 2 I'm not sure of. What I'm looking for. *chill emotionally mature people in a similar age range to me with conflict resolution abilities. *people with left leaning values of equality, compassion and environmentalism. *no dodgy shit, dont mind weed but no drugs. *social but not party people. *consideratly clean but not obsessive. rent including expenses as well as bond big room $275-350($300-375 for couple) $300 bond single room $225-300 $300 bond Rent price depends on how many rooms are full, the full price of rent is $600 aswell as a minimum of $75-100 collectively per week in power, water and internet expenses. I dont like charging anyone larger prices so I'm trying to find 2 people before April that can sign on so things can be cheaper from the start. Here's a bit about myself. I'm a fully vaxed, vegetarian anarchist turning 30 in a month. I've been a head tenant for the past 4 years and have been flatting the past 12 years. I've lived through some pretty rough flatting situations and I like to think I'm well adjusted and that I try to keep my space tidy, though have the occasional slip. in honesty though some of these rough experiences have caused me a lot of anxiety surrounding trust which I'm currently trying to work through. Through out my 20s I've been attached to the local punk scene and was in a local hardcore band but have recently decided to distance myself and branch out to meet different crowds of people and try new things. Over the past 2 years I've been on a journey of mental and physical self improvement by taking better care of my body and mental health through exercising, dieting, limiting my drinking and quitting smoking. Environmental Ethics, and left wing politics are very important to me, I've grown tired of arguing why social issues matter so I prefer to live with people on the same page. I'm an amateur guitar player, and I love singing folk punk songs and writing lyrics about eating the rich. I love gardening and growing plants as a hobby and have a huge cacti collection. I have recently started rock climbing with my partner and we often take trips to the west coast beach. I'm not a huge dog fan but love animals and I hope to get a cat at some point down the line. I'm a considerate person that often tries to put other peoples feelings before my own, in saying that though I do suffer from social anxiety surrounding confrontation and aggressive tones. I'm more often a socially extroverted person with a lot of compassion for the people in my life, but regularly need my own space to recharge. I don't currently work on a regular basis but occasionally I do odd jobs landscaping which has become a passion of mine. Going forward I'd love to find a place I can comfortably call home, I don't think I'll ever own property so a healthy bunch of people to live with is the best thing i can hope for.

Nice and medium-large unfurnished room in a lovely creative Grey Lynn/Arch Hill villa! High patined beam ceilings, hardwood floors, and a big ol’ built in wardrobe. The flat is a minute walk to central Grey Lynn shops, but in a really quiet and cute street so you can have the convenience without the noise. About a 25 min walk and a short bus ride to Ponsonby and Karangahape Road, about a 40 min walk/25 min bus to uni and the rest of the city. Beautiful inside and out, with healthy homes certification, a great kitchen, two bathrooms, open plan lounge with a beautiful window, a deck, backyard, and parking space. Very private for the area thanks to surrounding trees and greenery. You’ll be living with two young working students and a young professional who are each social but also independent and chill creative types keen for yarns and flat dinners/drinks without going mental. All creatives doing stuff in music, journalism, comics etc + a real estate assistant who knows her shit! Super vege/vegan and LGBTQ+ friendly. If you’re a fun and tidy working student or yopro who’s into cool art and radio, you’ll fit in perfect. Brand new lease, we move in on the 1st of Feb and you should join us!
