The Auckland University Students' Association (AUSA) elections are coming to a close, with voting finishing tomorrow at 4pm.
The elected student executive advocate for student voice in University policy, control funding for hardship grants, run student spaces like Shadows Bar, and organise events on campus.
All currently enrolled students at Auckland University can vote for their prefered candidate for positions including president, treasurer-secretary, education vice-president, engagement vice-president, welfare vice-president, international students' officer, queer rights officer, women's rights officer, and postgraduate student officer.
"Students have been through so much in the last few years, and they often turn to AUSA and complain about how we're not doing anything. If students want to change, it's going to start with voting for the candidates you believe will implement this change," current AUSA President Alofa So'olefai told 95bFM's The Wire.
"University decisions are being made left, right, and centre and AUSA has a seat at the table to comment on what students want. This is your student association, so hold us accountable and vote for who you want to see advocating on your behalf."
A link to the voting form can be found on the AUSA website.
