Ant Timpson chats us through the upcoming 12-hour-marathon of the trash, obscene and cult films playing at the Hollywood Avondale on Saturday 23 May. What is trash cinema? Rosetta caught up with Liam K. Swiggs of The Big Fresh Collective, a group originating from Ōtautahi and made famous through their yearly contribution to Aotearoa Music Month with dance music compilation FOOTMAHI. This year, the 11th edition of FOOTMAHI boasts 44 tracks from DJs and Producers across the motu, offering an exciting cross section of where the scene is at. Rosetta and Liam chat about the origins of BFC and FOOTMAHI, how far it's come, and what feels special about FOOTMAHI 2025.
