bSides (Definition) - 95bFM’s brand new local music focused web series
95bFM is proud to announce the launch of our brand new web series, bSides. The brainchild of Host and Director Tuva’a Clifton (95bFM Drive Show Host), bSides is a celebration of everything good about local alternative and independent music in Aotearoa, New Zealand.
Each episode features a local artist/band performing two of their original tracks, as well as a cover of a New Zealand artist of their choice. In between each song, series host Tuva’a dives into the history of the artist/band, their future plans, and the raison d'être behind their cover choice. It’s funny, it’s honest and it’s a damn good watch.
“This series isn’t just about showcasing local artists” says Executive Producer, Kaitlyn Ratcliff, “it’s about local artists uplifting other local artists, and building community through that”.
WATCH HERE: Episode Two of bSides with Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland post-punk band Soft Bait performing two original songs from their upcoming album Life Advice (out July 25 via Flying Nun) and their cover of 'Hey Seuss' by the 3Ds
