The Human Rights Campaign, the largest LGBTQ advocacy organisation in the United States, has declared its first national state of emergency. They’ve cited “the proliferation of legislation in statehouses across the country aimed at regulating the lives of queer people” as the reasoning behind this move.

Caeden started by asking “When countries like the United States seemingly go backwards or make queer people targets at an exponential rate, should that be alarming for queer people in Aotearoa?”
