Stop The Chop w/ Dr Mels Barton

The Government  has begun consultation on the first of three new pieces of legislation that will replace the Resource Management Act. 

The Tree Council is asking the government to include protection of our urban forests in their newly proposed legislation.

I talked to Environmental Scientist and Advocate Dr Mels Barton, about Stop The Chop, a new campaign aimed at stopping the cutting down of mature trees in New Zealand’s cities.
