Marsden Point Refinery Closure w/ E tū Union: August 16, 2021

Refinery NZ shareholders recently voted to make the Marsden Point Oil Refinery an import-only terminal. 

Around 300 wrokers, and hundred of contractors will likely loose their jobs or be affetced when their workforce is downsized to 60. 

E tū, the union representing some of these workers is calling for a just transition plan for the Northland Region and to replace these jobs affected.
