The WHO has just provided a clinical definition of what is commonly known as 'Long Covid'. Often showing symptons weeks after a patient has recovered from Covid-19, not a lot is known about Long Covid. However, some academics have drawn a link between it and ME/CFS, also known as chronic fatigue.
Noah Ferguson-Dudding spoke to Emeritus Professor Warren Tate, an expert in chronic fatigue from the University of Otago, about what exactly long covid is, what sort of patients contract it, and whether there's any hope of curing it.
