Forest and Bird say that the planned Kennedy Point Marina at Pūtiki Bay on Waiheke Island is endangering the local kororā / little blue penguin colony. Living only a metre away from the proposed marina site, the kororā colony are already facing major disturbances such as flashing lights, loud drilling and obstructing buoys as the Auckland Council's plans begin to action. News and Editorial Director Jemima Huston speaks to Forest and Bird Auckland Regional Manager Lissy Fehnker-Heather about the risk the Kennedy Point marina poses to the native kororā.
