Epidemic Response Committee Notes: April 14th, 2020

Today marked the seventh Epidemic Response Committee meeting. Lillian recaps the main points covered, as reported by Laura Kvigstad. 

The committee heard from Chief Medical Officer of Australia Professor Brendan Murphy, Epidemiologist Sir David Skegg, Minister of Finance Grant Robertson and Secretary of the Treasury Caralee McLiesh, as well as of course Director General of Health himself, Ashley Bloomfield.

The Epidemic Response Committee was established in late March to consider and report to the House of Representatives on matters relating to the Government's management of Covid-19. The chairperson is Simon Bridges, leader of Opposition.

The next commitee meeting is scheduled for 10am tomorrow morning.
