ACT Party Alternative Budget w/ Karen Chhour: August 23, 2023

For the weekly catch up with the ACT party, Rawan spoke with ACT’s Karen Chhour about the party’s alternative budget titled Time for Truth. 

Rawan discussed some of their proposed policies such as their proposal to go from a 5 rate income tax to a 2 rate income tax. In addition to this ACT has also pledged to abolish the bright line test andruled out any capital gains tax. They also plan to remove the fees free scheme as well

They have also recently anounced that they are in support of National's policy to give parents more flexible leave without adding any extra tax.
