Last week Labour announced their candidate to contest the Auckland Central seat at this year's election. Local employment lawyer Helen White will contest the seat for Labour and will be tasked with unseating National's Nikki Kaye who has held the seat since 2008. bFM reporter Sam Smith spoke to White about her chances.

Journalist Nicky Hager has been granted something of a victory after the Privacy Commissioner ruled the disclosure of his private information by Westpac was unlawful. However, this case also reveals the tendency of banks and companies to cooperate with police without warrants. Mack spoke with Hager's lawyer Felix Geiringer to find out what this ruling means.
