Yesterday, Fiji recorded over six hundred new coronavirus cases. This brings their total active cases to over five thousand. Many have criticised the government's response, claiming they have failed to properly control the spread. 

Producer Louis talked with the University of Canterbury's Dr Steven Ratuva about the current situation in Fiji as cases escalate.

Environmental groups across New Zealand have called for a reduction in the acceptable limit for nitrate in waterways. They claim that the current maximum limit is too high, causing damage to both ecosystem and human health.

Conor chats to Kevin Lamb, CEO of Age Concern Auckland, about the Oldie and a Goodie Campaign.

Jemima talks to Dave Perkins, the General Manager of Technicial Services at Waste Management, about how medical waste is disposed of in New Zealand and how Covid-19 quarantine has affected these processes. 

Conor speaks to Ronji Tanielu, a housing policy analyst at the Salvation Army, about Auckland's transitional housing in response to the government opening Wellington's largest transitional housing facility this morning. 

To wrap up the show, Isla Christensen and Stella Huggins bring you the latest episode of Tomorrow's World. This week they investigate the growing problem of pseudoscience.
