A busy, busy Drive for Rāhina evening! Matthew Crawley spoke to the winnner of the Play It Strange Songwriting Competition 2024, Keira Wallace, French crooner Ryder The Eagle ahead of his debut Aotearoa show at Double Whammy, Kaitlyn took a roaming mic down to Q Theatre to talk to Tom Sainsbury and the cast of upcoming Silo Theatre show Camp, and Crystal of Phoebe Rings about their eponymous EP that dropped on Friday last week! Crystal joins Matthew in the studio to talk about the relase of Phoebe Ring's eponymous EP! The EP has been pressed to vinyl, so be sure to get your hands on one before they get snapped up.

It was quite the party on Rāmere Drive! Beth Torrance kicked things off with the first Friday Live of the evening, playing several tracks from her just-released EP in the bFM lounge to a crowd of vollies and staff. Then LIPS turned things up a notch for the second Friday Live and played their new track with E From EELS, plus a couple more to get us all excited for their Halloween show with Thee Golden Geese! Huge thank you to McLeod's Brewery  and NZ On Air Music for supporting Friday Live! Towards the end of the evening, Nick spoke to the artist currently sitting at the top of the 95bFM Top Ten and played a first spin of the second track of his new EP - Julian Lubin! Dylan and Matt of Mānuka Recordings were also in the studio alongside Julian to speak on the kaupapa of the label and it's collaborative approach to releasing music. Thanks to The Beer Spot!
