OOOOooooOOOO!!! SPPPOOOOKY! It’s Halloween on Plato's Retreat where Jenn and Kris bring you a few (but not many) Halloween adjacent tracks. The team give away tickets to The Beer Festival (thanks to the show's lovely sponsors Cassels Brewing Co), cover off a ripping round of sports, and a particularly gripping Emmerdale.

Election Day! Kris, Jenn, and Rob guide the listenership through the last few hours of voting, offering a smorgasbord of Sport, Emmerdale, and a special guest appearance from the bFM news team about their election night coverage. Many thanks to Cassels Brewing Co. for their continued sponsorship of Plato's Retreat, and the 4Thirsty segment every Saturday at 4:30.

The Retreat team are one Sam down this week. Jenn brings in some of her birthday vinyl, Rob Bollox covers off sports and the Emmerdale review, and Kris calls upon the bFM listenership to tell the hosts what they are wearing in the month of October. Thanks to Cassels brewing co for their delicious (and award winning) milk stout this week, accompanied by a song from one of the team's favourite Ōtautahi exports.

IT'S THE COVERS SPECIAL
The gang dives deep into the world of songs performed by people who didn't write them in this weeks special edition of Plato's Retreat
There's a truly surreal take on a Rod Stewart song, an NZ version of Madonna and a straight up bonkers version of Space Jam oh and LOTS LOTS LOTS more

We try the American Pale Ale from Cassels Brewing Co for Four Thirsty

There's Sports & of course Emmerdale
Enjoy

Nau mai, haere mai, Plato's Retreat are at full capacity this week, thanks to Cassels Brewing Co.

Sam and Jenn turn up a little dusty but are positively jiving by the end of the show. This week includes some auspicious firsts (the first Peter Gabriel track and first drum'n'bass track played on the show from Teremoana Rapley), and one big second: the return of the Cassels Milkstout, recently re-crowned BEST MILK STOUT IN THE WORLD.

The whole gang is back in the stud for a rollicking Saturday afternoon on the high seas of musical frivolity

Four Thirsty covers the Cassels Brewing Co Walrus NZ IPA - an all NZ made big old beauty and we match it up with a stone cold Aotearoa classic

Rob gives us a good old break down of the sports and Emmerdale and it's another great show

The crew convenes for another Plato's Retreat presented by Cassels Brewing Co - through the magic of the internet/telecommunication network in the year 2020.

Level 3 has been a bit of a slog for the gang - Rob is pleased that he's getting 2 hours of Emmerdale a day though (and the PM/Ashley Bloomfield are apparently big fans). There's lots of basketball being played and that's something for Sam to be cheerful about

Otherwise they play a bunch of songs which is always a bit of fun eh
