Grace Verweij and Tash VS from the Audio Foundation join East and I for the second half of the show to discuss the upcoming Outlier Festival (7th to 9th October). Grace and Tash share some behind-the-scenes insights into how the festival came about + some hot goss on what is in store for attendees. We also play some of the newly released tracks on the compilation CD, from Synthesized Waves and Nathan Taare, as well as tracks from the other performing artists, such as P.H.F, Hasji, and Synthetic Children.

It's Te Wiki o Te Reo Maori, and I use this as an excuse to talk about the interconnections of Polynesian culture, specifically between Maori and Samoan languages. My friend Balamohan Shingade also comes into the studio to talk about his work in Hindustani music as well as give us a live performance.
