Solid Steel (15th December) In Hour 1 this week we welcome Stroboscopic Artefacts label boss Lucy, also known as the Italian-born and Berlin-based producer Luca Mortellaro. He's been releasing music for over a decade with tracks on Zehnin, Samurai Horo, Ware, Curie Recordings, as well as his own label. Music featured includes tracks by Chevel, Moritz Von Oswald, Marcel Dettmann, Ricardo Villalobos, Yotam Avni, Blawan and Planetary Assault Systems. He told us;
"This mix was live recorded during one of my latest gigs, and this particular one happened during a show in one of those places (which I cannot name) where I can play extended sets, where I feel fully at home, having the right settings to feel a great amount  of ease and freedom of giving a very wide interpretation to the word “Techno’."

In Hour 2 we continue with Justin Broadrick as JK Flesh, who recently released his 'Exit Stance' EP on the Downwards label. He started, aged 15, with the recording of his first —and last—record with Napalm Death. From there he formed pioneering industrial metal group Godflesh. He also met Kevin Martin, AKA The Bug, and began experimenting with everything from dub and techno to hip-hop, breakbeat as Techno Animal. Together they produced four albums, plus a collaboration with Porter Ricks. JK Flesh debuted in 2012 with the album ‘Posthuman’ on 3BY3 and continued with releases on Avalanche Recordings and Hospital Productions, before arriving on  Legendary techno label Downwards. He had this to say about his mix;
“Recorded live in my studio, this is the current JK FLESH live set utilising stems in conjunction with live hardware and a mixer."
