Two iwi who settled Treaty breaches with the crown in the 1990s have received a combined $370 million in further payment due to clauses in the agreements. Waikato Tainui and Ngai Tahu were paid the money in December last year due to relativity clauses that mean they get a portion of future settlements over the $1 billion fiscal envelope set in the 1990s. Lachlan spoke with Treaty Negotiations minister Andrew Little about the payments.
The departure lounge is a multimedia exhibition paying homage to the stories and history of the kings arms, music venue and bar which is set to close down at the end of this month. Today is the first day back at uni for Auckland uni students and it’s a busy day on campus. All of the uni clubs have set up their stalls in the quad and Albert Park in the hopes they’ll get some new sign ups. Mary-Margaret went to ask some of the people at the stalls about joining clubs at uni and what it can add to your uni experience. She started by asking the student running the netball stall how many players are on their netball team.
Student Life can be difficult. In fact, extra cash and support through counselling is often much needed. The University of Auckland has set up a Wellbeing Fund and is asking former students to put money into it. Lillian Hanly finds out more.

Over the weekend the US, Uk and France launched an air strike in Syria in response to a suspected chemical weapons attack in the town of Douma.
The attack targeted three facilities that researched, stored and produced chemical weapons. There were no reported casulties but the attack is said to have set the chemical weapons programme back years.
Trump declared it a sucess tweeting "Mission Acomplished" while Theresa May claimed there was "no practical alternative."
