Bliss On Dear Oneness by Carlos Niño & Friends as the Play It Out album for the week
~
'U Bring Me Vibes (feat. Amp Fiddler)' by Only Child, in response to "I'm feeling productive, getting lots of shit done today! I want to enhance the feeling with a choon of your choice. Fun fact - the Portuguese word for productivity is produtividade which sounds sweet and buttery when pronounced correctly. Peace and love!" for the Emotional Request of the week (out to the number ending in 157)
Mookie, Benny and Buzzy are back, there's new music, there's shit talk, but mostly there's just heaps of punk, hardcore and metal; a sequence of of beautiful audio events so carefully curated you'd think you were listening to an audio transcript of the Royal Ballet. But you aren't.
I left it late this week, I was still dubbing the show right up untill I left to head into the station. Its a mess, but its a dope mess, loads of mean Japanese stuff, weirdo noise shit, a track of the new massive sounding Crawl Of Time tape, loads of new black metal, heaps of shit you know the buzz.
This week I had the pleasure of having old mate (long time collaborator/shit talker and all around GC), Matt from Razored Raw curating a majority of the show. Matt and I have been trading tapes for fuckin' ages, so he had no problem whipping up this killer mix of punk, metal, no wave, crust, grind and noise + every other fuckin' dope thing I've forgotten; while the first part of the show is a paranoid single sided tape from me that I'm sure reflects my week.
Kirk's back. This week marking 50 years since the releases of 'Barry White's - Can't Get Enough' & 'Minnie Ripperton's - Perfect Angel' albums, plus 40 years since the releases of 'Mtume's - You, Me And He', 'The S.O.S. Band's - Just The Way You Like It' & 'Alicia Myers' - I Appreciate' albums. A few from the new 'Kaidi Tatham's - Fusion Moves' album & a few from 'The Rah Band's live Touchdown' album, the last 40 minutes we go to Brazil. All that & lots more. Enjoy y'all.
