Mookie, Benny and Buzzy are back, there's new music, there's shit talk, but mostly there's just heaps of punk, hardcore and metal; a sequence of of beautiful audio events so carefully curated you'd think you were listening to an audio transcript of the Royal Ballet. But you aren't.
Mookie, Buzzy and Benny jam two hours of punk and metal with Alex playing us records from Singapore, Thailand and Japan, plus the usual shit talk, gig news etc.
This week I had the pleasure of having old mate (long time collaborator/shit talker and all around GC), Matt from Razored Raw curating a majority of the show. Matt and I have been trading tapes for fuckin' ages, so he had no problem whipping up this killer mix of punk, metal, no wave, crust, grind and noise + every other fuckin' dope thing I've forgotten; while the first part of the show is a paranoid single sided tape from me that I'm sure reflects my week.
Featuring Flicks 'n' That with Steve Newall and guest selections on What's Cooking with the Ōtepoti-based Neive Strang. Plus, a bFM first spin of Neive's song Time Of Year off her forthcoming album out this Friday.
