If you’ve been listening to The Wire much over the past couple of days, then you’ll know we’re currently in the midst of Fuck Off Fascism Week. Each day on the show we unpack different ideas around the concept of fascism, including its history, how it exists today, and how it interacts with the media and the arts. Today on the show, we look at a question that was making the rounds on everyone’s social media feeds earlier this year, after the video of a white nationalist getting punched went viral - is it okay to punch a Nazi? We speak to Avigail Allen, the co-founder of the antifascist group Dayenu, as well as Randy Cohen, who wrote The Ethicist column for the New York Times for 12 years, to find out their perspectives on the subject.
Ronnie from Revelry Bar brings the goodness this week, using Abelforth's Bathtub Gin in a new and surprising way and scoring a straight 10 from the boys in the process.
[insert your own name for this one here]
30ml Abelforth's Bathtub Gin
10ml Grand Marnier (orange liqueur)
10ml Absinthe
10ml egg white
60ml special chocolate sauce (Ronnie made a litre of this using Puhoi Caramel Vanilla sauce, Whittaker's L+P chocolate and 200ml of Baileys. You could sub with Puhoi Valley chocolate milk for simplicity)
Shake over ice, pour into an icy cold glass, garnish with orange zest and sip through a cinnamon stick.

On The Wire today we have Dear Science where Allan tells us about damaging dietary supplements, the paintings underneath Picasso's paintings uncovered by X-Rays and a brilliant award winning photo of an atom from a regular camera.
We then hear from Russell White who is part of the Check It campaign designed to get young drivers more aware of the safety checks they need to make on their cars.
Max Richter tells us about his eight-hour long concert Sleep (where you can sleep while you listen), which is part of the Auckland Arts Festival.
And Lisa Boudet investigates the restrictions on men who have sex with men for blood donations as part of Wire Worry Week.
Add ice to shaker, and strain into other half of shaker full of ice. Repeat pour or "Poury, Poury" motion three or four times between shaker halves to effectively chill the mixture (without too much dilution).
Strain into a chilled tumbler. Enjoy a strong delicious drink!
