A series of eight programmes directed by Armando Iannucci and written by Iannucci with Andy Riley and Kevin Cecil. It was shown during September to October 2001. Each episode focused on specific themes relating to human nature and existentialism, around which Iannucci would weave a series of surreal sketches and monologues.

At New Zealand's first bush school, students learn to kill and cook rabbits and possums in a classroom free environment. The school opened earlier this year near Clevedon and currently has eight students aged four to 14. Co-founder Joey Moncarz has taken a "rewilding" approach to education, where kids form a deeper connection with nature and are free to roam: "Rewilding also involves recognising that humans are, at their core, gatherers and hunters". Producer Reuben McLaren speaks to Deep Green Bush School's co-founder Joey Moncarz about the new school.

The debate is over. All life on planet Earth is threatened by human-caused climate change. Within our lifetimes, the oceans will rise, weather will get more extreme, our air, soil, and water will become more tainted and toxic. Animals will perish en masse – and humans are at serious risk too.

New Zealand emits twice as much carbon dioxide per capita as China. Our agriculture and energy industries are already unsustainable. So how will climate change affect our natural world, our society, and our culture? And what can we do to halt the looming catastrophe?

Dr. James Renwick, Dr. Lyn Carter, Dr. Sylvia Nissen, and Dr. Meg Parsons gave their views during a public panel discussion at the University of Auckland, December 17, 2018. The discussion was moderated by Maria Armoudian, Lecturer in Politics and International Relations at the University of Auckland.

We thought we would revisit this story from earlier this year. Mitchell and Hugh discuss the carbon credits system available at Hinewai which has become increasingly popular with large businesses allowing them to offset unavoidable greenhouse gas emissions. The system has allowed the reserve to expand and encompass a significant area on the peninsula which has rejuvenated naturally without planting and minimal pest control. Mitchell begins by asking Hugh a little bit about the history of the Reserve and how its arrived at where its at today.
