This weekend on FPR, we air a takeover from Naarm-based angels Tyler and Bel.
Tyler and Bel are visual artists and selectors with an unboundaried approach to sound and era. They both have shows on Mouthfull - Tyler hosts the weekly broadcast Semi-Precious, whereas Bel hosts an infrequent show titled Some Times. On Episode 306, they share two mixes - the first explores music recorded in Denmark and Sweden between 1969 - 2022; the second captures music for dance and theatre.
Jade's away for the summer so I've stepped away from the scary tundras of graveyard radio and news to deliver you a lovely mix of punk, folk, indie, dance, and other stuff like that with only a couple screw-ups. Featuring The Entertainment Guide (cheers to Ding Dong Lounge) and the news.
Thanks to The Tuning Fork for supporting the show as always <3
Today on Stage Direction, Alice is joined by dancer and creator Sharvon Mortimer to chat about Night and Mortar - a series of short contemporary dance shows around the best bars of Tāmaki! And it's totally free so get amongst. Whakarongo mai nei!

On Friday last week, myself (Frances), Joe and Liam jumped in the car and drove down the West Coast to WOMAD.
WOMAD is an international arts festival. The central aim of WOMAD is to celebrate the world's many forms of music, arts and dance. This year saw a line up with the likes of Youssu N’Dor, Avantdale Bowling Club, Sampa the Great and a whole bunch more.
There was also a range of food, market stalls, and workshops. Interviews were taking place with writers, vendors were selling salt grinders, and local chefs came together to sell food from Venezuelan Arepas to Hungarian Langos.
After pitching some tents in the mud, we grabbed our mics and headed out to enjoy the festival and talk to the people of WOMAD.
Welcome back to another week! Penelope Noir gives us the history of fishtail parkas on Fashun. Dancers from the New Zealand Dance Company, Katie Rudd and Brydie Colquhoun come up to the studio to talk about Stage Of Being. On Loose Reads, Jenna reviews I Have Some Questions For You. Justine answers your employment and union queries on Red Dead Redemption. Whakarongo mai nei!
On today's show, Dr Lara Greaves dials in for a spot of Political Commentary. Delaney Mes covers winter puds and the benefits of a bottle of cream on Breakfast Food.Flo and Bella Wilson come in to chat about the premier of their dance show, STRUCTURE. Whakarongo mai nei!
