This week, Taarati Taiaroa spoke with us about Toi Tū Toi Ora: Contemporary Māori Art, the largest exhibition in Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki's 132 year history. Taarati, assistant curator of Māori art at AAG, discussed the exhibition's development and conceptual propositions. Later on we had a conversation with Natasha Ratuva and Hōhua Ropate Kurene about Inside the wave are ocean bodies, their exhibition on Tautai Contemporary Pacific Arts Trust's Moana Wall.
At the top of the show Thursday host Emma Gleason chats to Muroki about his new album Amber Skies and upcoming tour, while later on she's joined in the 95bFM studio by Psycho Gab bassist Orlando Cooper to discuss the band's new single 'Compass'.
This week on Totally Wired, new music from Aldous Harding, Courtney Barnett, Beastwars, Anderson Paak., Tame Impala plus lots of other goodies. Plus Ciara and Luke from Blame Thrower chat to Danielle about their split EP for Long Player.
As always, it's a show jam-packed with new tunes, including A$AP Ferg, Skepta, Underworld, Lucky Boy, Kruff Kurist and Denzel Curry. And for the Long Player we are treated to some fantastic yarns from Sam and Cam of Te Huhu, who have just released their debut record Recychedelia.
