Olly's on the mix this week, digging through the hard drive and playing some old favourites and hard-to-find mp3s. Keeping it new age and spacious, with a few detours into guitar-melodrama and some NZ-indie classics. And by classics we're talking 2015 CLASSIC... your seventeen and just snuck into Whammy Bar for the first time...
It's some atmospheric soundtrack music to get us started, then we'll speed things up and take a trip through the breaksy world. The first Sustaining Alive for 2022. Jonny and Big Hungry discuss the recent volcanic eruption + ways in the new year people can reduce thier impact on the environment.
Olly takes us through two hour long mood parabolas, building up from spacious ambient music into speedy, clanky, swung rhythms... this ones for the synth heads, the echo chamber heads... get your widest stereo set up out and have a nice long sit down.
Mousey (aka Serena Close) has a new album on the way and a brand new single out this morning! She spoke with Rachel about the project, writing for her friends and more! Whakarongo mai
Olly's back in studio tonight, filling the thick airwaves with an hour an a half of mind bending, midnight-styled breaks... then closing off the show with a thirty minute block of angular post punk to really send you west.
