Kia ora! Today is mostly a sad show - expect Cindy Lee, Weyes Blood, Burning Star and Double Virgo. Pleased to play a new release from Awning - 'Inside Day' off the new My Friend Dog EP. Thanks as always to Progear and the Tuning Fork for letting us MG hosts play buzzy tunes on a weekday morning.
Statistics New Zealand has recently put out a report into their updated ocean acidification indicator.
This data has come from a partnership withThe National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research, as well as their New Zealand Ocean Acidification Observing Network.
The data provider said there has been a decrease in the our waters PH level, Meaning seawater has undergone more absorption of carbon dioxide.
As the rate of greenhouse gas emissions have continued to rise due to climate change, more of our water has become effected leading to the risk of losing certain sea life.
I had a chat to Michele Lloyd, the senior manager of Environmental and Agricultural Statistics at Stas NZ about their report.
Oto and Jaycee talked to Club Ruby about their new E.P - Don't Gaslight Meand played 2 hours of Indie Rock, Dream Pop and more by artists from the Asian diaspora.
New music today from CRYER, plus a couple of ravey tunes for those who like speedy techno.
I was also joined by Andre of HEAVY CHEST(solo/unplugged) in the studio ahead of the band's Tāmaki show at The Tuning Fork(shoutout) this Saturday! Chur and thank you for playing some unreleased tunes for us also :~)
Today on your bFM Breakfast: sequined glamour is at the tip of our tongues this morning in a DWTS-themed Fashun; Jenna tells the tale of three very different women in early-2000s Singapore; and Ange returns just to nurse you sickos back to health. Despicable.
