This week the arts community has been remembering Nanette Cameron, who passed away aged 95. She's been dubbed "Aotearoa’s preeminent interior designer" by arts organisation Objectspace, "instrumental in the flourishing of interior design practice in Tāmaki Makaurau and nationally." Her passing has been met with tributes, gratitude and aroha for a woman who is described by those who met her as formidable, a sweetheart and everything in between. To hear more about her life Frances caught up with retired director of Objectspace, Philip Clarke, who was director of Objectspace when they staged the major exhibition and published the publication Nanette Cameron: Interior Design Legend in 2013.
Whakarongo mai! Campbell is at the controls this week with all the killer selections traversing Jazz, Boogie, Tropical, Soul and Disco. @kirkjames13 @soul_scourer @95bfm
As many Aucklanders would have noticed, residential parking restrictions have been expanding for quite a while, getting further into the city fringe into increasingly residential areas. Aneeka spoke to Rick Bidgood from at&t about why this is and what this means for transport in the city.
Last year. Half a million parking tickets were given out in Auckland by the city's growing fleet of Automatic plate-recognition vehicles. The city now has 25 of these vehicles. With non-compliance tickets having doubled since 2024, concerns have been raised over how these systems generate revenue for Auckland Transport and the council.
While Auckland Transport has defended revenue as an unavoidable consequence of non-compliance systems, and insisted that they must stay consistent in their policing and management, some have labelled this as a ‘commodification of non-compliance’
Monday Wire Producer Alex spoke to Senior Lecturer in Architecture and Planning at the University of Auckland, Mohsen Mohammadzadeh about these tickets, revenue, and how this technology should, or shouldn't, be used.

Billy Joel is playing at Eden Park this Saturday. However, concertgoers will not be able to take the train to the venue as KiwiRail is closing the network for repairs.
Auckland’s rail is undergoing an almost 300 million dollar upgrade and rebuild in time for the opening of the City Rail Link.
This means large swathes of Auckland’s rail network will be out of use for the next three years.
David spoke to Councillor Mike Lee about the issue and how it will affect Aucklanders.
