Berlin-based composer and electronic musician Holly Herndon spoke with Rachel ahead of her spectacular set at Laneway Festival about her 2019 album PROTO. For the project Herndon created an "AI baby" called Spawn, that worked with her choral ensemble of human singers to create a body of work which explores the human-technology relationship and our place in the grander scheme of things.
