Today on your bFM Breakfast: Another Friday, with heaps of tunes to get us through the week; Fabian Fanboy talks old classics to carry us through; Dr. Kirsten Zemke brings us Goth; we chat to pickle darling about how to support local artists; and Zoƫ about what's happening in theatre. Keep cozy folks.
I don't have much to say. Each day the world changes incredibly fast and the weird paranoid guy from 3 in the morning who plays you weird metal is probably the least qualified to talk about it. A tiny mount of post managed to trickle through from Australia, as evidenced by the newer Atrocity Altar stuff, though I imagine most of the shit I'm waiting on is lost to the ether. I go heavy on some of the weirder electronic post punk shit. It's a time.
Today on your bFM Breakfast: It's already the end of the week, it's flying by; David Slack joins us for some Political Commentary; Tess is talking stock and soup on Tesscipes; Liz and Jon from The Beths joins us for some very exciting news and a new single; Under The Radar's Chris Cudby talks new releases; and Amelia runs us through the Top Ten.
Today on your bFM Breakfast: We're kicking off the NZ music only week, and wowee is there plenty of bangers to play; Justine returns for Red Dead Redemption, answering all your Level Two employment queries; Catalina joins us to talk about taking Auckland Zinefest online this year; and Kiran reviews a book she's been sitting on for a year. Back into it!
Plato's Retreat is back baby. Sam and Kris head up this return to The Retreat, playing a mix of Italo, sleazy disco, some more clubby stuff, and of course some eclectic picks from their respective crates. Rob joins on the phone for both the Sport and The Emmerdale reviews. Thanks to all the listeners who sent their love and support during the remote radio experiements!
