First and foremost, big shout out to 95bFM's Drive Show for moving the tape deck out of the studio and not telling me, leaving me in a studio at 1AM with no way to broadcast this show. Excellent work gang; another weeks show seamlessly bleeding into the airwaves like a well oiled machine. Its all good shit.
Last month the government proposed a set of new freshwater reforms with the aim of restoring Aotearoa’s waterways within a generation. However, the reforms have come without a set limit on freshwater nitrogen levels. Forest and Bird is calling for a nitrogen limit to be introduced as part of the government’s waterways reforms to hold regional council’s accountable for the nitrogen pollution in their drinking water supplies. 95bFM News Director Jemima Huston spoke to Forest and Bird Freshwater Spokesperson, Tom Kay, about why it is important to limit the nitrogen in our water and why some regions in New Zealand are experiencing higher levels of pollution than others. Here is Jemima speaking to Tom.
Well we're all back recording from home - The gang catchs up over the phone
We still do all our regular segments - This time at least we get sports to talk about (marble racing no longer), Emmerdale and our brand new - Four Thirsty w thanks to Cassels Brewing Co. - We taste the lager this week and it's yummy!
The crew convenes for another Plato's Retreat presented by Cassels Brewing Co - through the magic of the internet/telecommunication network in the year 2020.
Level 3 has been a bit of a slog for the gang - Rob is pleased that he's getting 2 hours of Emmerdale a day though (and the PM/Ashley Bloomfield are apparently big fans). There's lots of basketball being played and that's something for Sam to be cheerful about
Otherwise they play a bunch of songs which is always a bit of fun eh
