'Murmurs' is a solo presentation of new works by Tāmaki Makaurau based artist Imogen Taylor. Teasing out the push and pull of abstraction and figuration, Taylor conjures enduring forms as part of a sensual approach to painting. With brightening hues she investigates intimate relationships with bodies, both human and non-human, as well as communication and what might exceed it. Poet and illustrator Liam Jacobsen will soon be releasing his debut collection of poetry, titled ‘Neither’.
This showcases the foggy atmospheres Liam has experience in Tāmaki Makaurau and Aotearoa as a whole, consisting of work from the last six years of his practice.

This weekend MOTAT will be hosting the annual Pasifika Festival.
The festival is a celebration of Pasifika culture and Arts will include performances by Parris Goebel’s legendary international dance troupe, The Royal Family, and the roots band Unity Pacific featuring Tigi Ness and Che Fu, alongside a photo display of icons Bob Marley and Hone Tuwhare.
