One half of Flight of the Conchords and two halves of himself, Bret McKenzie is hitting the road with his eight piece band in celebration of his new album Freak Out City.
The Freak Out City tour sees McKenzie performing songs from his latest album alongside fan favourites from across his career, delivered with his signature blend of humour, heart and musical mastery. Freak Out City is an album shaped by life on the road - spontaneous, groove-driven and rich with New Orleans soul, gospel influences. The songs capture the energy of live performance, blending tightly arranged horn sections, warm melodies and McKenzie’s unmistakable story telling, balancing playful observations with moments of genuine reflection.
