Today the government announced plans to bring in 2000 migrant fruit pickers to help bring relief to the horticultural and wine industries. I spoke with Dennis Maga, general secretary of First Union, about the role of migrant workers in these industries, and how the government can incentivise locals to take on fruit picking.
