đź’š An electronic / dubby / jazz-adjacent first hour sees returns from old favourites Mala, Calibre, Glass Beams & NilĂĽfer Yanya. Look out for a controversial appearance of a Kate Bush cover and a brand spanking newYard Act release.

Things get taken down a bit at the start of the second hour, think more ethereal and dream poppy: Beach House, HTRK

The final hour has a few classics from the likes of the Headless Chickens and Eric B. & Rakim with a scattering of great singles from the tail end of 2023 + some campy dance adjacent selections via Tokischa / Ninajirachi.

Hopefully something for everyone.

See you all next week, thank you again for all the support on todays show and for turning out to the bRave last weekend. It was a special time.

Kia ora goregous creatures đź’š Today's show sees us open with a tribute to CAN's Damo Suzuki who passed this month. We then move through a plethora of new music from a wide range of genres. Although this show might be slightly more dance-forward as it is bRave week after all - grab a last minute ticket if they're still available!

Dub flavours are covered with new music from Devon Rexi, Nyquist, and an old favourite from Mala. New music from indie-darlings MGMT  and Vampire Weekend also features. We also sneak a few Thursday 1-4 favourties via La Caution and Cheb i Sabbah to keep all happy.

See you at the rave. See you next week! đź’š

đź’š Kia ora wonderful creatures. Today's show (again sorry for the delayed upload time, I've been off the grid - temporarily) see's an opening two hours of gorgeous dream-pop sounds. We place focus on two new records: Helaodo Negro's PHASOR and Mk.gee's Two Star & The Dream Police.

The final hour sees dancier flavours enter. Groove on lovelies.

The opening track features a cover of Aphex Twins's Avril 14th on lap steel by Will Van Horn, it can be found here.

đź’š Apologies for the delay in getting this to you.

Today's show features a plethora of new music thanks to last weeks bandcamp Friday. We hear new cuts from sensational new Japanese dream pop group TAMTAM. Scattered throughout is reissued Congolese funk and grooves from Costa Rica via famous label Discodelic. Indie favourites Future Islands feature and we hear from old favourites Sneaky FeelingsCocteau TwinsCAN, and The Roots. Obscure new club-adjacent music features throughout for those with an electronically minded ear (Leod, Burial, Bluetoof, Synkro, and Joy Orbison).

There's plenty of gaps in this weeks spotify playlist as we feature many tracks not available on streaming services (and not available generally, looking at you brand new Rewind Fields track).

See you all in a couple of days, same place, same time. đź’š

đź’š Scorching hot day! Today's show kicks off with a few new cuts from around the world. We then cycle through some gorgeous summer tunes before a brief period of drum and bass flirtation. This rolls into a trip down memory lane with some 80s/90s underground classics. An unreleased bootleg from DJ Name features before a final hour of power.

Thanks as always to all who have stopped by live, and many thanks to all those who listen at home.

Apologies to those trying to call through on todays show, the phone's ringtone was playing up.

I will see some of you for drive on Monday. If not, see you next Thursday as we prepare ourselves for shipwrecked in Te Arai.

đź’š Hi team. Today's show serves up hot opening 35 minutes of eclectic drum and bass fading into 140 tempos.

Plenty of new local music from the whole genre spectrum comes next.

Cuts old and new from abroad feature, including some tasty late 70's mexican rock.

A 2010's indie retrospective see's some music from The Shins / Youth Lagoon and Grizzly Bear later on in the show. I also almost choke myself to death live on air - that's entertaining.

Thank you for the interaction on today's show, I can't describe how nice it is to hear from listeners.

Peter Cat Recording Co @ Neck of The Woods last night was so bloody good.

See you next Thursday.

Show spotify playlist is here, as always! :) đź’š

(starts at 03:30) đź’š Kia ora b-adjacent creatures. First show of 2024 brings an ambient and melanchole start that builds into some dub / latin / east asian sounds. Sections of indie favourites feature too with splashes of house / techno / garage scattered throughout. It is so good to be back, thank you for all the love via the text and call-line. I'll see you same time next week with more music.
