This week, Green MP Golriz Ghahraman's Electoral Strengthening Democracy Bill has proposed a number of changes to New Zealand’s electoral system. A couple of those include lowering the MMP threshold from 5 to 4 percent, outruling overseas political donations, and overturning a ban on prisoner voting.
