Impacts on Health from Tonga Volcanic Eruption w/ Dr. Xaviour Walker: January 19, 2022

The recent volcanic eruption and tsunami in Tonga has massively affected the health and wellbeing of Tongans. The disaster has raised immediate health concerns as well as potential long term impacts on both physical and mental health.

Christina spoke to Dr Xaviour Walker from the Univeristy of Otago Department of Medicine about these issues, and the ability of Tonga’s health system to cope with this event.
