Pixies Returning To New Zealand

SATURDAY, MARCH 11 - VECTOR ARENA, AUCKLAND

Legends of alternative rock, Pixies are returning to Auckland for one night at Vector Arena. Fresh off the release of their sixth studio album, Head Carrier

Almost seven years since their debut New Zealand concerts, the seminal rockers will be returning to New Zealand in March 2017 as part of their Head Carrier world tour.

One of the most influential and important bands over the last 30 years, Pixies performed to sell-out crowds for two Auckland shows in March 2010 and a Christchurch date in August 2010.

Touring New Zealand in celebration of their latest album, Head Carrier (out now through Pixiesmusic/Play It Again Sam), the tour sees vocalist/guitarist Black Francis, drummer David Lovering and guitarist Joey Santiago welcome bassist Paz Lenchatin to the Pixies’ permanent line-up.

Set lists from recent UK shows have soared between the old and new, from their 1987 debut to tracks from the new album. The Telegraph exclaiming “Pixies pummel the Brixton Academy with songs of visceral brilliance,” and The Independent stating “Their job here was done, and done wonderfully.”

Don’t miss the band that influenced every single band you like.
